I like Avp2 better because on the sci-fi elemets, among other things. It's like 3 games in one, for another; Heck, you could might as well do a human-only game. The graphics are much better, so are the sound effects, and the atmosphere is also greatly to my liking.
Want action? Alien's the way to go, with a simple Quake-style pure adrenalin rush. Want tactics and strategy? Predator's the way to go, with Rainbow-Six style careful movement and hunt. Survival's your taste? Be the human. Got lots of guns =)

I like sci-fis too.
Maybe the graphics are better, and maybe even the sound effects are better... but there is no way it can be funnier... The vsay voice chats are hilarious.. and seeing another player splat to their death/explode always makes me laugh.

Funny, you just mentioned two of the most funny aspects of AvP. For me anyway. =)

Yeah, it's better to begin in a controlled friendly-training environment rather than diving right in, just like any other game... Also going to the options and figuring out the controls never hurt, either What are your machine's spec?

Gah, be more specific, aren't you studying to become a technician or somethin'? -.-"
Well, what I'm looking for is CPU speed, RAM, and graphic card. But I wouldn't worry about it much, should be no prob for a Pentium 4, given AvP2 is from back 2001.

And yeah, ya can play, I just wanna know how high could you push the graphics and stay FPS-friendly =).
