Hello,
I would like to apply for citizenship in Karnali. I'm intrigued by Indian-themed micronations and was formerly the Acting Minister of Defence and Foreign Affairs in the Dekkan, but that country has fallen into inactivity.
If you accept my application, could you let me know what possible positions there are here?
Thanks

Your application is accepted. Welcome aboard. There are lots of positions available here. To be honest, right now the only position that is filled is the King's. That would be me.
Since we are a member of the Grand Commonwealth, we have no need for a Foreign Affairs Minister or a Defense Minister.
To let you know, Karnali was founded in the year 2002 (or 2003ish). We have since faced the ups and downs of micronationalism and untill a few months back had a few members that were around. Right now, its me and jeremy mostly with an occasional visit by three other citizens. So, feel free to start anything really. Its always good to have some people around.
More on Karnali... we were based on Nepal, but slowly developed into more Indian or rather we developed into something we aren't exactly sure what. We have had several Indians in our citizens list, including myself. Are you also an indian? Your last name suggests so, but not sure of the first name.
So,... what kind of position are you interested in?

Wow thats a really fast reply. Thanks for accepting my application.
Could you let me know about the status of the government? Based on what I read, I thought that the Executive was a tribune instead of a single person. There is a king now?
I'm interested in a government position. Not sure wat are the available positions. Does the KIA still exist? Perhaps I could help out on that?
Separately, I just wanted to say that there's much to admire about Karnali, having been abel to sustain its existnce for so long. I'm really glad to be proud to be accepted asa a citizen!

I just read the post on the New Order Government and you making the switch to a monarchy. It is a good move I think. Given the vagaries of micronationalism, it is not plausible to have the continued function of a nation based on the required prolonged activities of several people instead of one.
In this regard, all hail the Maharajadiraja!
Perhaps we should now start moving towards codifying this political system, replacing the Cosntitution of the Third Republic with a constitution that sanctions and limits the monarchy, as well as defining the role of the Parliament viz-a-viz other state institutions.
What do u think?

Ok, it seems you found the right threads about the new Constitution and other things amongst them.
Government positions right now can me made on a whim. As we have a new Constitution, that goes to say that all old order have been (sort of) abolished. Thus, we can start from scratch if you want to put it that wya. Regarding KIA, well it exists and yet not exists. Basically, in today's micronational world, there's no more need of an intelligence agency like KIA. Thus, for all practical purposes, it is dead.
That's why we made the switch. It was hard to get/keep more than three active citizens at all times. For a triumvirate, you must have more than 3 citizens. If you have 3, then its still no use since all have equal power (and thus, theorectically you have anarchy). With a monarchy of sorts, we could have 1 King and many other subjects. That was easily possible to achieve.
That would certainly be a good move at this stage. Right now, I believe the Constitution allows the King absolute (or almost absolute) powers and that needs to be curtained.
I also think we need to make some Statutes to pass that are mentioned in the Constitution but never passed. I think they have to do with flags and other stuff.

Your Majesty,
This sounds exciting. I would like to take up the position of Special Aide to His Majesty. I can look into promulgating the constitutionally-sanctioned schedules and make proposals on codifying the role of the monarchy and other state institutions.
Do you agree to this?
Thanks
Raef

I agree. I shall soon make you a Special Aide. I believe the correct word would be Sachivas (as per the Constitution).
We will also need to rearrange/reword some of the forums to better suit the new Constitution. Sheesh. I should have done that already. Guess i was hoping for a revolution (by a certain person) to occur and i wouldn't have had to go through the trouble.
Say Raef, do you have more friends who might be interested in indian/south asian theme micronation? Get them involved too. It will be great to see more people around.

i'll check around with people from the former Commonwealth of the Dekkan to see if any of them are interested to join. But I doubt it hah!
and yup i think perhaps you should start changing the names of the forum boards to better reflect the monarchical reforms taking place.
separately, does karnali have a map? if not, perhaps we could start delineating provinces/ regions and main cities?
I'll be posting some proposed schedules for consideration soon.

We are on the GSO maps. I already made a few maps for Karnali. They are a few threads below titled "MAPS".

I would like to play a more active role in Karnali. Any position you would be able to offer me?
Thanks
