While writing the thing about lizards and animals and fluffy, i realised that that should be in the ministry of culture forum...
but then realised that if i moved it there, no one would reply.. or atleast it would not get that many responses.. hence, i thought why not keep the thread here.. and when it get beyond a particular number of post, we move it to the appropriate forum...
this is offcourse for all the threads, that should be talked about in their own forums, but are not...
your thoughts on this ?

sounds great. yeah if a topic arises somewhere, it is probably best to keep it there until the discussion is over and then move it, unless in the case that something is started toootally out of place.

good.. then perhaps, we can discuss the limit before we reach the stage where we have to move it....
i suggest 25... or if the topic is resolved, before then.

I think it should be moved when the topic has reached a stagnant conclusion.

bbut then dont you think that's a bit tooo late? i mean, i dont want to end up with like 10 or so threads being actively used in the General forum...while the rest of the boards are not being used...
EDIT:
the idea behind the moving of thread when it reaches a fixed number is so that people would start to move down the forums to post....
i guess it would take some trouble finding where it was moved (maybe we can keep a shadow of that post in the General forum: a link to the new place)..

it doesn't really matter to me one way or another. I think those that really have something a valuable comment will find a way to make it known.

Yes, it would most likely get less replies.. but we should spread them out our we may as well just combine all the sections of the forum into the General Discussion forum.
edit.. durn tipoz

nah... i feel that once the thread reaches a certain age, we can move it to its appropriate forum..
so, i am thinking a post number and/or the end of discussion is such a stage. . your thoughts?

I was thinking we move it when the topic craps out... not by any fixed #...

so, you are like air huh.... well, i guess moving it when the topic is discussed completly is a good thing.. but then, we could end up in a situation where we have like 10 or more topics that are actively being discussed upon!

HAH! I'd like to see that... No really.. I'd like to see it... everyone should post more. *shrugs* Maybe like a 5 or 6 active topic max?

i agree... even i would like to see that... .it would mean that i would have to post atleast 10 posts every day... which i guess is good..
we can't really have a 5 or 6 topics max... cause otherwise, the ones that get thrown down to the other forums, would not be used much.
